2017-2018 HOF Inductee
Mark T. Apostolou '72
Mark T. Apostolou, a 1972 Christian Brothers Academy graduate, served as a prominent municipal court judge in New Jersey for nearly 25 years. Before retiring in 2011, he presided over courts in Asbury Park, Brielle, Eatontown, Neptune City, and Shrewsbury. Apostolou was a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Municipal Court Committee and the Monmouth County Domestic Violence Group, and he served as president of the Monmouth County Municipal Judges’ Association. He taught law with the New Jersey Bar Association, Division of Criminal Justice, and State Police Academy. Apostolou earned his Bachelor of Science from Monmouth College and Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University. He has been married to Maryann for 39 years and has two children. In retirement, he received the 2016 Volunteer of the Year award from the Superior Court of New Jersey and serves on Manasquan’s planning board.

John J. Brennan Jr.
John J. Brennan Jr., known as Jack, hails from Glen Ridge, NJ, and graduated from Iona College with degrees in English and Theology. His teaching career began at Catholic Memorial High School and continued at Salesian High School and Dominican College. He also earned a Master’s in Theology from St. John’s University and a Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Columbia University. Brennan held various roles in college admissions, including at Iona College and Manhattan College, and was active in several professional organizations. He returned to high school education as a guidance counselor and director at Christian Brothers Academy. Brennan was instrumental in fundraising and community service initiatives, including the Chris Pflum Memorial Dance and SADD Dance. He is a Lasallian Educator of the Year and continues to support alumni in their professional and personal endeavors.

Frank Scheuer '77
Frank Scheuer, a 1977 CBA alumnus, excelled in soccer, basketball, and track. His high jump relay team set a New Jersey State Record, and he was a top performer in Monmouth County track events. Scheuer’s soccer skills included a notable throw-in tactic. After graduating, he played basketball in Manhattan leagues and worked with Walt Frazier’s foundation to help at-risk students secure internships. Scheuer enjoyed a 25-year career in finance, serving as COO at Jefferies and in various roles at Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse. He is active in his community, serving on boards for the American Cancer Society and Monmouth Conservation Foundation, and recently joined the American Red Cross disaster recovery team. An avid golfer, skier, and photographer, Scheuer is now President & CEO of Stinger Business Solutions.

Louis V. Aversano '84
Louis V. Aversano, CEO of Ogilvy USA, has nearly 30 years of experience in advertising. At Ogilvy, he drives the “Next Chapter” strategy and focuses on nurturing diverse talent. Aversano has managed major clients like IBM and American Express and was pivotal in securing new business for Ogilvy’s New York office. He began his career at Ogilvy in 2001 and became CEO of Ogilvy & Mather New York in 2014. Aversano graduated from CBA in 1984 and earned a BS in Finance and Marketing from Boston University. He serves as an advisor to BU’s AdLab and sits on the boards of the American Red Cross, ANA/BMA, Advertising Educational Foundation, and 4 A’s. His leadership continues to shape the future of advertising.

'70 Tennis Team
The 1970 Tennis Team was the first in CBA history to win the NJSIAA Parochial State Championship. Led by Coach Brother AB Patrick Martin, FSC, the team finished with a remarkable 26-2 record, and featured junior Bill Koch, who finished second in the State Individual Championships.
