2026 HOF Inductee
Vincent A. Miller '79

Dr. Miller is a medical oncologist, who has dedicated his career to improving outcomes for patients with cancer, in particular, those with lung cancer. He spent 20+ years at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where he served as an Attending Physician. His work in clinical and translational research in lung cancer culminated in observations and collaborative efforts critical to the identification of EGFR sensitizing and resistance mutations. In 2011, energized by seeing firsthand the impact of precision medicine in non-small cell lung cancer, he joined Foundation Medicine as Chief Medical Officer, and helped lead the organization through the parallel review process, and subsequent regulatory approval of its flagship assay, FoundationOneCDx. Following the acquisition of FMI by Roche, Dr. Miller joined EQRx as Physician-in-Chief and remained with EQRx through its acquisition by Revolution Medicines in 2023.

Dr. Miller has authored more than 300 peer-reviewed articles, which have appeared in such journals as Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research, JAMA, the Journal of Clinical Oncology and PNAS.

Dr. Miller has received the American Cancer Society Clinical Oncology Career Development Award and the Louise and Allston Boyer Award, and was recognized by the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation with the Thierry Jahan “A Breath Away from the Cure” award for his efforts and contributions to lung cancer research.

More recently, Dr. Miller has served on the Board of Revolution Medicines and OneBiosciences while working as a strategic advisor/consultant to several companies which offer promising approaches for developing better predictive biomarkers or therapeutics for patients with cancer.

Patrick Light '09

Pat Light is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Light Group (TLG), a venture capital and operations firm investing in and managing a diverse portfolio across hospitality, real estate, and defense technology.

Based in Hoboken, New Jersey, Pat oversees a growing collection of five hospitality assets under TLG, each known for its distinct atmosphere and strong financial performance. Building on that success, he has expanded the firm’s reach into real estate and real estate development, with a particular focus on affordable housing projects throughout New Jersey.

Most recently, Pat has entered the defense technology sector through a strategic partnership with Xtremis, a leader in drone detection and counter-UAS systems. Together, they are deploying advanced detection technology for the U.S. Department of Defense and key NATO allies, including Ukraine and Sweden, to address emerging threats to national and global security.

Before founding TLG, Pat lived out his lifelong dream as a Major League Baseball pitcher, drafted in the first round by the Boston Red Sox and later playing for the Minnesota Twins, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Seattle Mariners. His years traveling across the country sparked the inspiration for his future work — creating elevated, uniquely tailored lifestyle experiences.

Michael T. Warshaw '68

Michael T. Warshaw, Esq., is a proud member of the Class of 1968 whose career spans nearly five decades in the New Jersey legal community. As a trial attorney, he has represented thousands of clients in matters ranging from personal injury to real estate, estate litigation, and business law. A founding partner of his own firm and now a principal at Zager Fuchs, PC in Red Bank, Michael has argued before the N.J. Supreme Court and remains an active arbitrator and mediator in the New Jersey Superior Court system.

In addition to his courtroom accomplishments, Michael is a dedicated teacher, having taught business law at both Monmouth University and Brookdale Community College for over 30 years. He is also a frequent lecturer for legal associations across the state.

A former President of the CBA Alumni Association, Michael has remained deeply committed to the Academy and the greater Monmouth County community, serving on numerous nonprofit boards and legal committees. He is a past recipient of the National Association of Distinguished Counsel’s “Top One Percent” and was named Irishman of the Year by the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of the Jersey Shore, where he has long served as a trustee.

Peter J. Economou '98

Pete J. Economou Ph.D., ABPP is trained in counseling psychology, is board-certified in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a certified mental performance consultant (CMPC), and licensed to practice psychology (NJ, NY, PSYPACT). He is the founder of a group practice, the CWC, that offers executive coaching and Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Dr. Pete has worked with high performers at the collegiate and professional levels and is the author of Mindfulness Workbook for Beginners and Meditation Journal for Anxiety.

Dr. Pete is also a dharma holder/teacher of Zen Buddhism and founder of the Center after studying at the Morning Star Zendo with Robert Kennedy, Roshi. He is a faculty member at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University and the Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness- Sport Psychology. His work is integrative, which can be listened to on both podcasts, When East Meets West and On Air with Dr. Pete.

JP Conte '81

Jean-Pierre Conte is an American businessman, philanthropist, and policy advocate. He is Chairman and Managing Partner of Genstar Capital, a leading U.S. middle-market private equity firm investing in healthcare, software, financial services, and industrial technology. Conte joined Genstar in 1995 and became its leader within three years. Under his leadership, the firm has grown from $100 million in assets under management to approximately $49 billion. He also invests through his family office, Lupine Crest Capital.

A second-generation American, Conte was born and raised in Brooklyn to immigrant parents. His mother emigrated from Cuba, and his father fled France during World War II. His father later worked on Wall Street, helping spark Conte’s early interest in business. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, beginning his career at Chase Manhattan Bank in 1985.

A strong believer in the American Dream, Conte founded the J-P Conte Family Foundation in 2017 to support educational opportunity and promote American values. His philanthropic efforts include support for organizations such as 10,000 Degrees, SEO Scholars, the Hoover Institution, Colgate University, and the University of California San Francisco Foundation, with a focus on education, neuroscience research, and conservation.

Since 2022, Conte has served on the board of Eagle Football Holdings, which owns clubs including Olympique Lyonnais and Botafogo. In 2025, he launched Lupine Crest Capital, focusing on private equity, real estate, and venture investing.

He currently serves as a director of ConnectiveRx and Signant and has served on numerous corporate boards.

Conte lives in San Francisco and enjoys skiing, sailing, hiking, and spending time with his four children.

Joseph Fili

Joe Fili was born in Ozone Park, Queens, New York, and developed an early and lifelong respect for the Christian Brothers while attending La Salle Military Academy in Oakdale, Long Island. He graduated in 1966 as Cadet Captain of A Company, First Battalion. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University with a major in English and a minor in Philosophy, followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching from Monmouth University in 1973.

Mr. Fili joined the faculty of Christian Brothers Academy in 1979 as Chairman of the English Department and quickly became one of the most beloved and influential teachers in the school’s history. For decades, he inspired countless Academy students through his passion for literature, high expectations, and deep commitment to the personal growth of young men. For many alumni, Mr. Fili remains their favorite English teacher and a formative presence in their CBA experience.

In addition to his classroom teaching, Mr. Fili led the Syracuse University Project Advance program, allowing students to earn college credit while still in high school. He moderated The Arister, CBA’s literary arts magazine, and created the honors elective Myths, Dreams and Cultures, a rigorous senior course exploring native cultures and Asian philosophies.

His leadership extended beyond academics through the founding of the Real Man’s Club and Colts for a Benevolent America, student organizations dedicated to service and charitable outreach. He also directed CBA’s Prep-SAT Program for many years and authored a commercially published SAT preparation text. In recognition of his impact, he received the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers Award in 1990.

Upon retiring in 2009, Mr. Fili pursued certification in violin repair and restoration at the University of New Hampshire and now operates a workshop from his home, serving clients nationwide.
